OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) is a non-invasive and high-resolution imaging technology based on the principle of low-coherence optical interference, known as "optical biopsy". It uses near-infrared light to penetrate samples and reconstruct 2D/3D images of internal micron-scale structures through interference signals. Featuring non-contact, non-invasive, real-time and high-speed performance, it is widely applied in core scenarios including ophthalmology (diagnosis of retina, macula and glaucoma), cardiovascular medicine (vascular plaque evaluation) and industrial non-destructive testing. It has become a critical imaging method in the fields of precision medicine and high-end manufacturing.
Two channels of analog signals (OCT signal & K clock) are conditioned and then fed into two high-speed, high-precision self-developed ADC chips of Xunxin Microelectronics respectively. The digitized data after analog-to-digital conversion is transmitted to the FPGA. External trigger signals enter the FPGA through a high-precision trigger conditioning circuit. The FPGA reconstructs the acquired OCT signals based on the K clock and trigger signals. After being processed by the digital signal processing module, the final data is transmitted via the PCIe interface to the CPU or on-board ARM for further processing.
Acela Micro's OCT solution adopts domestically self-developed ADC chips as the core data conversion components of the acquisition card. It supports dual-channel synchronous acquisition, external trigger input/output and other features, and enables customers to conduct secondary development on FPGA. This product series has been mass-applied in high-end ophthalmic OCT devices, helping domestic ophthalmic OCT imaging systems achieve the internationally advanced level in the field of ophthalmic medical equipment.
